Publishing Preparation assistance is available to assist authors who cannot format their manuscript into the correct format required by our Production Team to create the finished book. This service fixes formatting issues such as incorrect use of complex returns, tabs, spacing and placeholders, hard page breaks, and more.

Once your project editor receives your finalized manuscript, it is subjected to a final assessment process before being formally accepted by us, and production can begin.

The project editor will review your manuscript for completeness. They will ensure that all text, figures, and supplementary material are included and that you have provided the necessary permission for the use of third-party copyright material in your work.

To ensure the quality and content of your manuscript, we may send it out for review. When your book is part of a series with a series editor, they may be sent a copy as well.

During the assessment process, we will invariably need to contact you with questions.

When your manuscript is accepted, it will be assigned to a production editor or a project manager, whose job is to oversee the entire production process, from the unedited manuscript to the final files for print and electronic publication. During production, the primary point of contact will be the production editor or project manager, who will contact you as soon as the manuscript is delivered to production.
Your contact will provide you with a production schedule. Would you mind notifying the production editor if you will be out of the office for an extended period during the production process?
